The move towards Total Quality began in 1992 and has led us to become leaders in Europe with reference to EFQM acknowledgement in comparison to our size.
The Basque Country, with its 2 million inhabitants is currently an example in Europe due to the results achieved by Basque organisations improving management, measured with the EFQM Model.

These results are the fruit of the initiative and leadership of the Basque Government, the operational support of the entire process by Euskalit and especially the patient and perseverant work of everybody in the organisations using Total Quality methods to improve their work day by day, and thus continually improve their results.
The aim is to improve competitiveness in the Basque Country by improving the management of its organisations.
